We are back from the most amazing experience you could image! Sunset Gap was truly hard work helping Mr. Green get his home up to par but so rewarding to know you help someone in need. In the super hot weather we restored his hot hot tin roof with 4 coats [2 kilt and 2 paint] and painted the entire exterior of his home with primer and paint. Painted the trim / doors and accent color. Inside his home we tore out a wall and reprositioned it to create a turnaround in his hallway then widened 3 doorways for his wheelchair.

Every Tuesday there is a local volunteer outreach mission set up for the Mid/Senior Highs, parents and the congregation to get together and help. The two main outreach projects planned are the Coastal Federation of NC (CFNC) restoration project of Jones Island and Encore Pets Rescue. This is a chance for youth and adults to work together for a good cause. Many Mid/Senior Highs were not able to go to Sunset Gap for various reasons so “Hands on Tuesdays” is a way for them to participate in one day mission project.

Take time to recognize the blessing of our freedoms and appreciate the military members and their families whose sacrifice helps to sustain our American way of life.

Military members should feel free to wear their uniform.

On Friday, May 28th, at 7:00 p.m. the Cape Carteret Presbyterian Preschool will be holding its graduation ceremony for the 4 year old class. Congratulations to all of the graduates!

Preschool Sunday was on Sunday, May 2nd. The 3 and 4 year old classes from our preschool participated in the worship service. They sang under the direction of Ms. Polly.

Their special music consisted of:
"Jesus Loves Me/Jesus Loves The Little Children"
"Put on Love"
"Kum Ba Yah"
"This Little Light Of Mine"

They all did a great job and we were delighted to have them join us.

Following the worship service was our monthly 2c/meal luncheon. We were happy to have many preschoolers and their families join us for food and fellowship.

Please join us on Wednesday afternoons from 3-4 pm for Bible Study. We are studying the Gospel of Mark.

The Mid/Senior High Youth Group will be meeting on Sunday, April 25th at 5:00

The Ladies Lunch Bunch will be meeting on Tuesday, April 27th at the Mai Tai in Jacksonville. (101 Henderson Drive)
